Busan City has announced the dates of operation for the seven public beaches during the summer in Busan.

Opening dates of public beaches in Busan this summer are:

Haeundae and Songjeong Beaches: June 1 – August 31

Songdo Beach: June 1- September 10

Dadaepo, Ilgwang and Imnang Beaches: July 1 – August 31

Gwangalli Beach: July 1 – September 10

The Sandy Beach Restoration Project has been carried out at Gwangalli Beach at a cost of 1.7 billion won. Gwangalli Beach will be expanded from 20 meter to 40 meter wide, offering a more pleasant, safe environment for beach goers.

Littering, smoking, fireworks, and commercial activities without a license on or near the beach area are prohibited by law and those found to be in violation of the law will be fined.

Various cultural and art events, which have been taking place to re-vitalize the beaches in Busan during all four seasons, will be extended through the summer months and promise to be bigger and better than ever.
