Participating respiratory hospitals and clinics for COVID-19 testing and treatment will end their services as of August 31, 2023.
To minimize inconveniences, the city government has designated a list of medical institutions prescribing oral pills for the treatment of COVID-19 in Busan.
COVID-19 Screening Centers in Busan
The operation of COVID screening clinics ended as of December 31, 2023.
If you require a COVID-19 test (PCR or rapid antigen test),
please use a general medical institution (medical institutions prescribing oral treatments, etc.)
Information on COVID-19 PCR test assistance
- Free testing is provided on an ongoing basis for high risk groups, including groups subject to oral
treatments* and high-risk inpatients** through the temporary application of health insurance benefits.
- *Those aged 60+, those 12+ with underlying diseases, and who are immunosuppressed
- **Those using an intensive care unit or hematologic malignancy ward, those admitted or
transferred to an organ transplant ward, and inpatients using a hemodialysis unit
- Groups subject to oral treatments are eligible for free PCR tests at a general medical institution
(institutions prescribing oral treatments, etc.) as before.
- The same applies to inpatients in emergency rooms and intensive care units, high-risk
inpatients, those admitted to senior care hospitals, mental health care institutions, or nursing
facilities, as well as guardians (caregivers) of hospitalized patients.
- Self-funding of PCR or rapid antigen tests (RAT) applies in the following cases at general medical
institutions:
- Those requiring a test on the recommendation of a doctor
- Prospective inpatients and their guardians (caregivers) not subject to free PCR tests
- Employees at high-risk facilities for whom tests were not mandatory but recommended as of June
1, 2023
