□ Loop Lab Busan is an international digital media art platform committed to the intersection of time and images. As the first of its kind in Asia, it seeks to foster horizontal solidarity within artistic communities via its art fair, exhibitions, and forums.
□ The art fair will invite experimental art institutions and galleries from Korea and abroad, highlighting cutting-edge media works in specially curated art booths.
○ Around 30th prestigious galleries and institutions and past participants of Loop Barcelona, will showcase immersive movement- and time-based art in an interactive setting at Grand Josun Busan on April 24~26.
□ Exhibitions will take place simultaneously in both public and private spaces from April to June. The ‘Digital Subculture’ exhibition will be featured in the Busan Museum of Art’s outdoor sculpture park.
□ Forums will be composed of the Future Museum Forum, focusing on the evolving role of art; the Art & Capital Forum, dedicated to understanding art finance and the art market; and the Asia Curators’ Forum, addressing Asian cultural identity.
○ Scheduled for April 22nd and 23rd, the Future Museum Forum, featuring 15 future-oriented museums—including Spain's MACBA, Taiwan's C-Lab, France's Pompidou Media Lab, and Australia's ACMI—will explore the new role of art, digital art preservation standards, and shared archiving platforms.
○ The Art & Capital Forum will incorporate a cross-disciplinary research dialogue bringing together artists, financial experts, and digital professionals to examine cultural economics. It will run from April 24th through the 25th.
○ During the Asia Curators’ Forum, curators from 11 Asian countries will engage in contemporary Asian video art through joint research, exhibitions, screenings, and artist talks at Domoheon from April 24th to 26th.
