Busan Participants at CES 2025 Achieve Record-Breaking Export Contracts

□ Busan Metropolitan City has announced that companies from the Busan Pavilion at CES 2025 reached remarkable milestones: 366 export consultations, an estimated export consultation value of approximately $28 million dollars (₩41 billion won), and an expected contract value of $12 million dollars (₩17.6 billion won) as of January 9th, 2025.

* The expected contract value reflects projections for contracts finalized within one year.

○ Key accomplishments include: ▲LAB021: A 3-year supply contract worth $120,000 with Swiss multinational ABB to equip an additional eight vessels and a partnership agreement with Deckhouse Communications, headquartered in New Jersey, the United States, valued at $65,000 aimed at overseas expansion over three years, ▲Bloomsbury Lab: A $30,000 supply contract with a major US retailer, and ▲SCHAFFENGOTT: A partnership with GoVets, the largest veteran-owned online store in the United States, to enter the American market.


□ Enterprises representing Busan engaged in investor relations activities, one-on-one meetings, and networking sessions with foreign buyers, demonstrating their technological expertise and facilitating the establishment of valuable international relationships.

○ The outlook for Busan’s businesses remains optimistic, with many more outcomes anticipated to unfold in the aftermath of CES 2025.


□ The success of the Busan Pavilion was underpinned by the concerted efforts of the Mayor-led TEAM BUSAN, which provided strategic marketing support and acted as a vital bridge between global and local companies.


□ Mayor Park Heong-joon commented, "Busan-based corporations with state-of-the-art technology made a powerful impression at CES 2025. We pledge to continue helping them maintain their competitive edge on the global stage.”


□ Among the 23 companies in the Busan Pavilion, six were honored with prestigious 2025 CES Innovation Awards across seven categories, reaffirming Busan’s rising status as a dynamic hub for technological innovation.

○ Award recipients include: ▲ROBOne: ROBin, an AI-powered recycling robot, ▲PTBRO: Acheless, a homecare device for jaw pain relief, ▲ZIM: Mogabi, a foldable travel guitar, ▲NEW ENERGY: Ion heating subscription for carbon reduction, ▲CIT: mmWave antenna for Beyond 5G, and ▲Mapsea: Maritime navigator with computer vision and multi-sensors. Notably, ROBOne received two accolades.


□ This year marks the highest number of awardees since Busan first began participating at CES in 2021 and accentuates the city’s ongoing commitment to advancing the bold ventures of its local businesses.
