□ The video ‘Space Lee Ufan of Resonance’ consists of three parts and takes an in-depth look at the life and art of Lee Ufan, one of the most acclaimed contemporary Korean artists.

○ Space Lee Ufan opened in April 2015 in the Busan Museum of Art annex and will mark its tenth anniversary next year. Not only did Lee design the building and its interior, but he also meticulously arranged his objects—the annex itself is thus considered one of his masterpieces.

□ Part 1: ‘Space Lee Ufan’ highlights his life journey and perspective on art, which is Mono-ha*-oriented. Part 2: ‘The World of Encounters’ interprets the meaning of connections through the encounter of stones and steel plates in his Relatum series. Part 3: ‘Dialogue’ delves into his philosophical ideas beyond visual elements, such as dots, lines, light, and emptiness, in his From Point, From Line, With Winds, and Dialogue.

* Mono-ha refers to a Japanese artistic movement that emerged in the late 1960s and early 1970s, which pays closer attention to ‘things’ and focusing on the existence and perception of materials and their relationships with the surroundings.

○ Kai, a musical theater actor and Busan Museum of Art ambassador, participated in the narration. In order to ensure that Lee's art is accessible to all, a sign language version for people with hearing loss is also available.

□ In addition to the video series, the museum has also prepared educational resources regarding ‘Space Lee Ufan of Resonance.’ Activity sheets will be distributed to middle and high schools nationwide, aiding in the implementation of relevant programs based on the syllabus offered along with the activity sheets.

○ The activity sheets are crafted to encourage students to actively engage with Lee’s artwork and improve their creative thinking skills while they watch the video.

○ Beginning December 2nd, interested schools can make a request on the museum’s website (art.busan.go.kr) and will receive the activity sheets via mail.
