Busan Metropolitan City is poised to establish the Eulsukdo Children’s Forest Experience Ground to promote familiarity with the natural world through playing and learning
□ Busan Metropolitan City announced an investment of 200 million won in a children’s forest experience ground, spanning about 30,000 square meters, in the Eulsukdo Picnic Plaza. It is scheduled to be constructed by the end of the year.
□ At the Eulsukdo Children’s Forest Experience Ground, under the guidance of forest education experts, young attendees will discover and explore the nature of Eulsukdo Island, a well-known bird migration destination endowed with beautiful scenery and biodiversity.
□ We expect the Eulsukdo Children’s Forest Experience Ground to be one of the top ecological facilities for children to run and laugh and expand their learning opportunities in combination with the existing programs.
□ We plan to organize multiple projects to bolster forest education and enhance forest accessibility.
○ We now run nine children’s forest experience centers and 36 children’s forests, with a team of professionals leading engaging activities. The number of participants in our programs surpassed 400,000 last year, and this figure continues to grow annually.
○ Not only that, a forest education hub in Sasang Park is set for completion in 2026. We will also build further children’s forest experience grounds in the years to come.
