□ The Busan Nakdong River Project Management Office announced that citizens can view and enjoy the approximately 70,000 amazing tulips in the Flower Colony (opposite the P1 parking lot) at Hwamyeong Ecological Park starting March 16.
○ Last December, the Busan Nakdong River Project Management Office bought 70,000 tulip bulbs, which they peeled and planted in an area of about 4,000m2 in the park’s tulip colony. The 11 varieties of tulip bulbs, including the Apelton, endured the cold winter season and are set to fully blossom beginning this week.
○ The Busan Nakdong River Project Management Office expects a spectacular and grand showing of spring tulip flowers for citizens visiting the park.
□ Citizens can fully enjoy the splendor of all the diverse summer and fall flowers in the park starting with the spring tulips.
○ The varieties of flowers include: flower colonies of cosmos and crape myrtle in Samnak, Hwamyeong, and Daejeo Ecological Parks, hydrangeas in the hydrangea colony along Hwamyeong Ecological Park’s Metasequoia Road, and lotus flowers in the lotus colony around the wetland within these ecological parks.
