Busan Metropolitan City on Oct. 30 announced its hosting next month of the League of Legends (LoL) World Championship and the international gaming trade show G-Star.

To be held at Sajik Indoor Gymnasium in the city's Dongnae District, the LoL Worlds will hold its quarterfinals from Nov. 2-5 and its semifinals from Nov. 11-12.

The quarterfinalists -- GenZ Esports, T1, KT Rolster, JDG, LNG, WBG, BLG and NRG -- among the 16 competing teams won three victories in the Swiss Stage at KBS Arena in Seoul's Gangseo-gu District from Oct. 19-23 and Oct. 26-29.

A visitor event will allow cheering for teams while watching the quarterfinals at Busan Esports Arena in the city's Busanjin-gu District. For the semifinals, a similar program will be available at the outdoor arena of Sajik Indoor Gymnasium.

The four-day global gaming trade show G-Star runs from Nov. 16 at the Busan Exhibition and Convention Center, aka BEXCO, in the port city's Haeundae-gu District.

This year's event will be the largest in its history and showcase new works by leading Korean game companies such as Wemade, NCSoft and Smilegate.

Tickets for G-Star are available only through online reservations and cannot be bought at the door.

More information on both events is available on the official websites of LoL Esports (https://lolesports.com) and G-Star 2023 (https://www.gstar.or.kr).

Busan Mayor Park Heong-joon said, "This November, we hope that you spend significant time in Busan enjoying and getting familiar with everything about games such as esports competitions, gaming culture and industry, and related trends at both home and abroad."
