The Busan Agricultural Technology Center has completed a huge rice paddy crop art piece to raise support for the 2030 World Expo in Busan.
A stunning piece of crop art is emerging across a rice field in Daejeo-dong*, Gangseo-gu. An enormous picture of Boggi, Busan’s public outreach character and also official mascot of the 2030 World Expo Busan holding the text message “BUSAN KOREA" to wish for the successful hosting of the 2030 World Expo in Busan, stretches across a 8,610 square meter rice field and is attracting a lot of attention.

The composition has been created by strategically arranging and growing different colors of rice plants.
This crop art was under development by the Agricultural Technology Center of Busan Metropolitan City since June. Young farmers based in Busan were involved in the rice planting. They planted rice all by their hands to show their support for the 2030 World Expo in Busan.
The passengers of the Busan-Gimhae light rail transit line between Daejeo Station and Deunggu Station can view the crop art from the train.
