The city of Busan has announced that the indoor mask requirement will be lifted starting Monday March 20th on public transportation and in open pharmacies, those within larger facilities without any barriers (i.e. walls).
However, the requirement will remain for vulnerable facilities, including live-in facilities, medical institutions and regular pharmacies.
The city strongly recommends wearing a mask for those with symptoms or after coming in contact with such individuals. It also urged mask-wearing in crowded areas and on public transportation during rush hour.
