“Busan is Good(부산이라 좋다)!” Selected as Busan’s New City Slogan

The City of Busan unveiled a new city brand slogan.
Busan Metropolitan City announced that it has selected “Busan is Good(부산이라 좋다)” as the city’s new slogan among three options on January 13, 2023 at the Busan City Brand Committee office.
The final selection was made after collecting the results of an on and offline preference survey conducted by the Busan City Brand Committee.
The city conducted the public preference survey for Busan’s new city slogan from January 4, 2023. A total 25,220 citizens participated in the survey on the three final city brand slogan choices – ‘Busan is Good’, ‘Bridge for All, Busan’ and ‘True Place, Busan’. According to the results of the survey, ‘Busan is Good’ garnered 11,373 votes, ‘Bridge for All, Busan’ 10,981 votes and ‘True Place, Busan’ 2,866 votes.
“Busan is Good (부산이라 좋다)”, which gained the most votes to be selected as the city’s new slogan, was chosen based on its popularity and versatility as an expression of satisfaction and pride in Busan, as “good” offers a flexibility of use, such as ‘Busan is good for the Expo’, ‘Busan is good to live in’ and more.
The Busan City Brand Committee consists of 11 top brand experts in the country and focuses on the trends in domestic and overseas city brands and city slogan design development. The city plans to launch Busan’s new slogan design and symbol mark in March 2023.
