The City of Busan has broken ground on the “Suyeonggang River Human Bridge” project, originally planned to begin in the second half of the year, with plans to finish construction by 2025.
The Suyeonggang River Human Bridge will be a 214-meter long and 7 to 18-meter wide footbridge for pedestrians and bike riders connecting Busan Cinema Center in Haeundae-gu with the residential area in Suyeong-gu. Along with pedestrian bridges at Hwamyeong Ecological Park and Samnak Ecological Park, the Suyeonggang River Human Bridge will support a walkable living environment as part of the 15-minute city project.
The city also plan to create a trail that connects the Busan Museum of Art, Busan Cinema Center, APEC Naru Park, pedestrian bridge, Suyeong Paldo Traditional Market, B-Con Ground and F1963 in order to promote walking tourism.
