The City of Busan is promoting “The Spring of Busan” through subway train wrap being advertising in three cities in Taiwan, Taipei, Taichung and Kaohsiung for one month beginning in April 2022.
The subway lines for the promotional advertisement run through the downtown areas in the three cities in Taiwan, where about 800,000 people are expected to use the lines. The City of Busan aims to promote the spring flowers of Busan - magnolia, daffodil and yuchae (canola) flowers, as well as spring destinations in Busan – Hwangnyeongsan Mountain, Oncheoncheon and Nakdonggang river ecological parks to residents in Taiwan.
The QR code on the advertisement in the subway trains links to the city’s official tourism portal, visitbusan.net website. People can leave comments and post photos of Busan or their journey to Busan on the website. The city will provide spring flower kits to selected participants through a random draw.
Busan is one of the favored cities of Taiwanese citizens. This Busan spring flower promotion has also been introduced in major newspapers in Taiwan and received a good response.
