The Busan Nakdong River Project Management Office announced that it has paved the way for connecting five ecological parks at the Nakdonggang Estuary.
The five ecological parks (Samnak, Hwamyeong, Daejeo, Maekdo and Eulsukdo) around the Nakdonggang estuary compose a 14.89 square kilometer large green space and an important natural habitat for migratory birds and other creatures. They are a favorite place to visit for citizens and tourists.
The Baengnigil Trail (about 40 kilometer) connects walking paths built in each of the five ecological parks. It takes 9 hours 30 minutes on foot or about 4 hours by bicycle to complete.
The Nakdonggang Estuary Trail is named ‘Ha-Good Trail’ in English. Ha-Good Trail has as its main concepts the ‘Ha’ sound of laughing, while ‘Good’ has a ‘positive’ meaning and ‘healing’ by walking through the trails at the ecological parks.
The walking trail course starts and ends from the pedestrian walkway at Daedong Hwamyeongdaegyo bridge and follows Daejeo and Maekdo Ecological parks, Nakdonggang Estuary Embankment, Eulsukdo, Samnak Ecological Park and Hwamyeong Ecological park. The trails can be accessed from the Hwamyeong, Deokcheon and Gangseo-gu Office metro stations.
