The City of Busan to Start Test Operations of Four Late Night Pharmacies

The City of Busan started test operations of public late night pharmacies on March 2, 2021.
The city designated four pharmacies, which open from 10:00 p.m. to midnight year round, for those who need to purchase medicine late at night. It will also help to prevent overcrowding of emergency rooms and medicine misuse. The test operation will run from March 2 to December 31, 2021.
The designated pharmacies are strategically located around the city for the convenience of citizens – Ryu Pharmacy (Haeundae-gu, Eastern region), Gyeongnam Pharmacy (Sasang-gu, Western region), Dongshin Pharmacy (Geumjeong-gu, Northern region) and Jisung Pharmacy (Yeongdo-gu, southern and central region).
Signboards and information are posted at the designated late night pharmacies to promote them to the public.
The city plans to improve the service based on the results of an evaluation and public survey, with the hope of improving and expanding the operation of late night pharmacies in Busan.
