Cashback for Dongbaekjeon Resumes on January 9, 2021

The cashback system for Busan’s local currency Dongbaekjeon was reinstated on January 9, 2021 after the budget was exhausted last year and the program had to be temporarily suspended.

Card users receive 10% cashback on purchases totaling up to 300,000 won per month.

To prevent the budget running out of funds, the monthly recharge amount will be limited to 100 billion won until February. The cashback promotion for Dongbaekjeon will then be renewed again in March.

*The word Dongbaekjeon is derived from the mixture of ‘Dongbaek’ which stands for ‘Camellia Flower’ and ‘Jeon’ which stands for money (i.e. capital).
