Busan Celebrates First Anniversary of 2019 ASEAN-ROK Commemorative Summit

To celebrate the first year anniversary of the 2019 ASEAN-ROK Commemorative Summit, a ceremony took place at Busan City Hall on November 26, 2020 to seek sustainable and joint cooperation between Korea and the 10 members of ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations).
The artwork, which was installed at the center of the summit venue, was moved to Busan City Hall and unveiled as part of the ceremony. The artwork, comprised of 10 human figures made of wood from each of the 10 ASEAN countries, was displayed at the 2019 ASEAN-ROK Commemorative Summit and represents the common foundational values of “Partnership for Peace, Prosperity for People”.
The artwork was put on permanent display at Busan City Hall to commemorate the successful hosting of the 2019 Summit.
The artwork is on display on the lobby wall of Busan City Hall near the Busan International Friendships Exhibition Hall.
With the successful celebration of the first year anniversary, the city plans to host an event every year to seek sustainable cooperation and promote harmony and friendship between Busan and ASEAN.
