The City of Busan has announced that free Wi-Fi service is available at 635 local bus stops in Busan beginning August 10, 2020.
The city implemented free public Wi-Fi hotspots on a total of 2,517 local buses as part of its “Free Wi-Fi Busan” project last year. For its following project, free Wi-Fi service is available at local bus stops where a BIT (Bus Information Terminal) has been installed.
Users can find the free public Wi-Fi with the SSID ‘Busan_WiFi’ or ‘Public WiFi Secure’ at local bus stops in Busan.
The secured public Wi-Fi networks are available at local bus stops in Busan, however when using public Wi-Fi, users are encouraged not to access personal bank accounts, or sensitive personal data.
The city plans to expand public Wi-Fi service at more local bus stops and tourist attractions.
