Under the
theme, “Bursting with Joy in Busan,” the 10th Busan Christmas Tree
Festival will take place from December 1 to January 6, 2019 around Gwangbok-ro
and Yongdusan Park in Jung-gu.
A
20-meter tall mega Christmas tree and decorative lights will be set up at
Gwangbok-ro Samgeori. The Christmas tree lighting ceremony, with celebratory
performances, will be held on Saturday, December 1 at 6:00 p.m. You are all invited to the
ceremony.
There
are three different theme zones with lights and illuminated art installations,
which include;

The entrance of Gwangbok-ro (Exit 7 of Nampo Station on metro line 1) to
Gwangbok-ro Samgeori (city spot) - 400-meter-long zone

Gwangbok-ro Samgeori to Busan Modern History Museum - 360-meter-long zone

Gwangbok-ro Samgeori to Gukje Market - 300-meter-long zone

zones, musical street performances, and various events and activities will take
place on the streets during the festival. The festival is free and open to the
public.
The
festival venue is in the original downtown area of Busan. Festival visitors can
also enjoy holiday shopping, local food and nearby popular tourist attractions,
including Jagalchi Market, Gukje Market, Bupyeong Kkangtong Night Market, Busan
Tower and more.
