Busan
Metropolitan City’s first independent duty free store, Busan Duty Free opened
its doors to the public in Yongdusan Park on April 12, 2018.
To
revitalize the local economy and tourism, it obtained a license to operate the
store in Yongdusan Park from the Korea Customs Service in December of 2016
through the joint effort of Busan Metropolitan City and the Busan Chamber of
Commerce and Industry.
Busan
Duty Free is the first small and medium-sized duty free store to open in Busan
and now has two locations – Busan Port branch (International Passenger
Terminal) and Yongdusan branch.
The
new Busan Duty Free features 254 brands within a 1,677 square meter space in
Yongdusan Park. Thirty percent of the duty free store will feature local brands
from 30 local companies and 12 young start-ups. Tourists can browse and shop for
