Busan National Gugak Center opened at 2 Gugak-ro, Busanjin-gu, Busan in October, 2008. Regular Korean traditional performances have been held at Busan National Gugak Center on Tuesdays and Saturdays since 2009. To commemorate the 10th anniversary of its opening, the ‘Regular Tuesday Korean Cultural Performances’ and ‘Korean Traditional Dance on Thursday’ have been renewed for 2018.
A total of 24 performances will be held every other Tuesday and Thursday from March to May and from October to December this year.
Artists include masters of Korean traditional music, Busan National Gugak Center performance groups and rising young Korean traditional musicians. Korean traditional instrumental music, vocal music and plays are scheduled to perform on Tuesdays, and Thursdays will have Korean traditional dance performances.
Saturday performances of Korean traditional music and dance take place every Saturday from February 3 to December 29, 2018 at 3:00 p.m.
