The Busan VR Festival 2018 takes place at the BEXCO Exhibition Center 1, BEXCO for three days from Thursday, July 26 to Saturday, July 28, 2018. Jointly hosted by Ministry of Science and ICT, Busan Metropolitan City, and National IT Industry Promotion Agency, this festival is focused on the VR industry, which is considered to be a promising field in the fourth industrial revolution. The event premiered in 2017 and will be held for the second time this year.
The exhibition mainly consists of ‘VR/AR Technologies,' ‘Culture & Tourism & Video & Education,' ‘Entertainment & Contents,' ‘Sino-Korean Business Exchange,' etc. and displays contents, services, new technologies and products, etc. for the B2B and B2C market. It is also expected to serve as a platform to create and develop an ecosystem for the VR industry, to promote business cooperation between VR companies and the demanders and suppliers, and to provide opportunities for everyday visitors to experience the latest VR technology and equipment, thereby drawing demanders with actual purchasing power to expand the VR market. A variety of additional events are also held to provide participating companies with business opportunities, useful and practical business information. These events include ‘Busan VR Incubating Program,' ‘Global Investment Information Session,' ‘Technology-based Startup/Commercialization Investment A-Z,' and ‘Convergence Industry Fund Information Session'.
In addition, as domestic and overseas experts in the relevant industry and academia are invited, a conference will be held to examine application cases and the development potential of the VR industry.
