□ The city of Busan has announced that the art event, ”Production Design: Scene Architects Build On-Screen Worlds in Busan”, which was held in Seoul last Summer will be held at the Busan Museum of Movies between March 26th and September 22nd.
○ "Production Design: Scene Architects Build On-Screen Worlds in Busan," hosted by the Korean Film Archive, is a special exhibition that showcases the creative processes of three art directors, Ryu Sung-hee, Cho Hwa-sung, and Han Ah-reum, who are ideal representatives of the Korean film industry.
○ The event will allow audience members to experience the art directors’ project designs that embody hidden intentions in their details, including the backgrounds and props of films. The exhibition will provide an opportunity to discover how Korean films respond to audiences’ expectations in terms of the aesthetic achievements of films.
□ This exhibition also features Busan’s own unique space for exhibitions. Seorae’s House, featured in the film “Decision to Break Up”, with production design by Art Director Ryu Sung-hee, will be reproduced as a photo zone in the Busan Museum of Movies, allowing visitors to take photos as the film’s main characters “Haejun” and “Seorae”.
○ The three channel video room, where film scenes can be watched from various angles, has walls that map the art directors’ representative works, so that visitors can feel the film scenes more vividly.
□ This year, visitors to the Busan Museum of Movies can look around this first of its kind special exhibition, the “Production Design: Busan”, free of charge from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the museum’s opening days (closed Mondays).
