Under the theme, “Bless Busan, with ASEAN,” the 11th Busan Christmas Tree Festival takes place from November 16, 2019 to January 5, 2020 around Gwangbok-ro in Jung-gu.
The festival started on November 16th by lighting up and illuminating Gwangbok-ro (street), earlier than previous years in celebration of 2019 ASEAN-Republic of Korea Commemorative Summit, which took place from November 25 to 26. To commemorate the summit, special lighting and illuminations were set up as part of this year’s festival.
A large Christmas tree and decorative lights are set up for visitors to enjoy at Gwangbok-ro Samgeori (central area). The Christmas tree lighting ceremony, with celebratory performances, will be held on Saturday, November 30 at 5:00 p.m. You are all invited to partake in the ceremony.
Performances will be held every night in front of the Christmas tree in December.
A Christmas service will be conducted on December 25 at 3:00 p.m. at Gwangbok-ro (central area).
The lighting hours are from 5:00 p.m. to midnight during the festival.
A car-free zone will be in operation between the entrance of Gwangbok-ro (Exit 7 of Nampo Station on metro line 1) and Gwangbok-ro Samgeori (central area) from 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday during the festival.
Wishing you a blessed Christmas full of love and great joy!
