Launch of Intra-City Express Service as an Alternative to Airport Limousine Bus between Gimhae Int’l Airport and Haeundae
□ Busan Metropolitan City has announced that the intra-city express service connecting Haeundae and Gimhae International Airport would commence on July 13, 2024. This service is to alleviate disruptions caused by the discontinuation of the Taeyoung Airport Limousine, which had served the route between Gimhae International Airport and Haeundae.
□ There are a total of 19 stops, including the 16 stops on the Haeundae route and 3 stops on the Busan Station route from the previous airport limousine bus service. Departing from Gimhae International Airport (West Busan) and ending at Haeundae (East Busan) via Seomyeon, the new Route 공항 2029 will run using six express (seat-only) buses.
○ ‘공항’ means ‘airport’ in Korean; 2029 refers to the completion year of Gadeokdo New Airport. The six buses will run 18 times daily at a frequency of every 60 minutes.
○ The number of stops is less than half that of regular express (seat-only) buses.
□ The fare is the same as regular express(seat-only) buses, 2,100 won for adults using a transit card. It is much cheaper than the previous limousine fare, 10,000 won. With transfer discounts, passenger satisfaction is anticipated to further increase.
□ In a bid to avoid any confusion with other local buses, the city added '공항' before the route number. Luggage compartments are also installed for the convenience of residents and tourists using the airport.
