- The City of Busan has launched the titled ‘Borahae Busan’ event to celebrate the upcoming BTS concert being held to promote the nation’s bid to host World EXPO 2030, Busan, Korea.
◈ The City of Busan will light up the city’s iconic landmarks in purple to welcome fans and visitors across the world until Oct.17.
◈ The drone show will take place at 9 p.m. on Oct.15 at the Gwangan Beach.
Night of Busan Metropolitan City is flushed with purple to celebrate the “BTS ‘Yet To Come’ in Busan” concert being organized to support and promote Busan’s bid to host the World EXPO 2030.
The municipal government has announced that the city has set out “Borahae Busan’ event to light up the city’s iconic landmarks in purple which is referred to as the ‘BTS colour’. The City government said this touching and meaningful event will take place in a bid to extend gratitude to the superband for putting their utmost effort to support and promote Busan’s bid to host the World EXPO 2030 as official ambassadors for Korea’s bid, as well as welcome Army and all visitors.
The city government will light up the city’s landmark spots from the Gwangand Bridge, Busan Tower, Busan City Hall, Busan Cinema Center, Dadepo Sunset Fountain, Namhang Grand Bridge, G7 media façade at North Port, Songdo Sea Cable Car, Busan Harbor Bridge, to Nurimaru APEC House and Hwangryeongsan mountain in purple until Oct. 17 by jointly working together with the private sectors.
As well, the drone show is slated to open at 9 p.m. on the concert day at the Gwangan Beach. This will offer another enjoyable moment for fans and visitors.
Mayor PARK Heong-joon of Busan Metropolitan City Government stated, “I’d like to extend my deepest gratitude to the BTS, ambassadors of World EXPO 2030 Busan, Korea for their utmost effort to support our bid” He also added, “I hope everyone who will be here in Busan will find hidden gem of the City and enjoy colorful night scenery of this beautiful city”.
Meanwhile the colour purple has symbolized BTS. The last colour in the rainbow, purple has a special meaning for BTS and Army since V redefined the colour as meaning “to trust and love” during the group’s “Army Bomb event’. "Borahae (I Purple You)" is a word used instead of "I Love You" by Army.
