Lotte World Adventure theme park opened at the Osiria Tourism Complex in Busan on March 31, 2022.
Visitors to Lotte World Adventure in Busan can enjoy 17 rides, including Giant Digger and Giant Splash, various performances and events. As the anchor facility for the Osiria Tourism Complex, the city expects it will re-invigorate the Osiria Tourism Complex by attracting 20 million annual visitors.
The Osiria Tourism Complex in Gijang-gun is Busan’s mega project to develop a 366 million square meter complex. The word ‘Osiria’ originated from a combination of ‘Orangdae’ park, where you can enjoy the spectacular ocean view while walking along the waterfront trail, and ‘Sirangdae,’ which has the best scenic spot of the seashore’s rocks in Gijang.
The tourism complex has emerged as a major destination to visit in Busan, aiming to become a four-season complex marine leisure city with accommodation, leisure, shopping, and theme park facilities. Many destinations lie within this one complex, such as Lotte Premium Outlet East Busan, IKEA and the "Skyline Luge" attraction. That's not all; the complex also hosts the Busan National Science Museum, a golf course, the Haedong Yonggungsa Temple and the Ananti Penthouse & Hilton Busan.
As another key part of the Osiria Tourism Complex, Aqua World broke ground to construct a 40,000 square meter facility with a 140 billion won investment in April 2021. It will feature an aquarium and underwater hotel, with plans to greet guests in 2023.
Various types of accommodation, including a resort, condos and hotel plans to be built in the Osiria Tourism Complex as well. Banyan Tree Busan, the world class hotel and resort with 195 rooms, will open in 2024.
Due to the opening of Lotte World Adventure, the city plans to work on traffic management and quarantine measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
