The city of Busan announced that starting on October 28, 2019, it now provides free Wi-Fi service in seven underground shopping centers.
The city implemented 62 free public Wi-Fi hotspots in seven underground shopping centers as part of its “Free Wi-Fi Busan” project. The test operation was previously done for 2 months. The 7 underground shopping centers include Bujeon mall, Seomyeon mall, Jungang mall, Busan Station, Nampo, Gwangbok and Kookje.
The city already started a free Wi-Fi service on all local buses in Busan in September 2019.
Free public Wi-Fi with the SSID ‘Busan_WiFi’ is available in the seven underground shopping centers enabling free internet access to citizens and tourists.
When using public Wi-Fi systems, even “secured” ones, we encourage users not to access personal bank accounts or sensitive personal data.
