Huge Rice Paddy Crop Art created in Busan to Promote Park and Garden City, Busan
The Busan Agricultural Technology Center has completed a huge rice paddy crop art piece to promote 'Park and Garden City, Busan'.
A stunning piece of crop art is emerging across a rice field in Daejeo-dong*, Gangseo-gu. An enormous picture of Boggi, Busan’s public outreach character smiling broadly in a park and garden with the message “공원과 정원 속에 푸른 부산" which means ‘Green Busan, with Parks and Gardens’, stretches across a 8,610 square meter rice field and is attracting a lot of attention.
*Between Daejeo Station and Deunggu Station on the Busan-Gimhae light rail transit line
The composition art piece has been created by strategically arranging and growing different colors of rice plants.
This crop art has been under development by the Agricultural Technology Center of Busan Metropolitan City since June. Young farmers based in Busan were involved in the rice planting effort.
The passengers of the Busan-Gimhae light rail transit line between Daejeo Station and Deunggu Station can view the crop art from the train.
