Route 2-1
Total Distance: 12km, Total Time: 4hrs, Difficulty: Easy
Passing through Songjeong Beach, a 300-year-old Haesong (black pine) in Gudeokpo and Cheongsapo welcomes trekkers. And the view from the hill to Mipo, which is worth a million dollars, will stop them in their tracks. Haeundae, one of the Eight Scenic Views of Korea as well as the largest beach in the country with a mellower evening moon than ever and millions of vacationers, is adjacent to Gwangalli Beach, the sea of youth. As you walk in contemplation while looking at the open sea at Haeundae Beach, trekkers will reach Dongbaekseom Island, which is nestled at the end of the white sandy beach. The coastal trail around Dongbaekseom Island is not long as 950m, but it is a great place to take a walk and wrap up the day. From the observatory on the coastal trail, trekkers can see APEC House and Gwangandaegyo Bridge at the same time. The Nurimaru APEC House is the place where the Busan APEC Summit was held in 2005.
