How to apply

  • Busan Metropolitan City integrated reservation website – field trip/experience - (for each organization) Busan Metropolitan City
  • For group reservations for 20 people or more, inquire by telephone ☎ (051) 888-3638
  • For group reservations, departure times can be adjusted in advance.

  • Arrive at the gathering place 10 minutes before departure time. Check the separately attached file to find the location of the gathering place.
  • For your safety, please understand that only primary school students 3rd grade and above are eligible for application.
  • When schedules are cancelled, text messages are sent to your registered cellphone No.

Middle school students or above ~ the general public

Participation schedule

Every Sunday (closed on rainy days, during cold spell and broiling summer)

Voluntary service certification provided

  • Two hours
  • Please check approval of your application in advance on the 1365 Volunteer Work Portal website (http://www.1365.go.kr) to ensure your voluntary service hours can be certified after your activity.

Cautions

  • Arrive at the gathering place 10 minutes before departure time. Check the attached file to find the location of the gathering place.
  • For your safety, please understand that only middle school students 1st grade and above are eligible to apply.
  • This volunteer activity includes environmental maintenance and geological education.
  • Please check approval of your application in advance on the 1365 Volunteer Work Portal website (http://www.1365.go.kr) to ensure your voluntary service hours can be certified after your activity.
  • Volunteer activities are not conducted on rainy days. Time wasted due to not checking your schedule will not be counted as your voluntary service hours.
    ※ When schedules are cancelled due to rain, volunteers will be informed by SMS. Make sure your correct cellphone number is registered on the 1365 website.
  • Please follow the directions of your Geopark guide.
  • After your volunteer activity, be sure to complete your volunteer activity log.
  • Please wear comfortable clothes, shoes (sneakers) and a hat, and bring a bottle of water.
  • Unexplained absence from your registered volunteer activity may affect your status as a volunteer.

  1. 1. Sign up at the 1365 Volunteer Work Portal (http://www.1365.go.kr).
  2. Apply on the "Individual’s Volunteer Work Participation" page (search: “geological attraction environmental maintenance”).
    • Igidae Cliff: 『Igidae geological attraction environmental maintenance activity』
  3. Be at the gathering place 10 minutes before departure time.
    • Igidae Cliff (10:30): Arrive before 10:20 at the Geopark Information Center in the Igidae Park Management Office.
  4. Check your log and sign after your Geopark guide checks your “volunteer activity log” at the end of your volunteer activity.

  • Group applications of 15 people or more can be made for smooth operation of the Geo-teering program. ※ Maximum of 30 people
  • For safety reasons, primary school students (3rd grade or above) must be accompanied by a teacher/guardian
  • Arrive at the gathering place 10 minutes before departure time. Check the attached file to find the location of the gathering place.
  • Cancellations due to rain will be sent by SMS to your registered cellphone No.

What is Geo-teering?

The word Geo-teering comprises the prefix “Geo,” meaning Geopark, and “orienteering,” a sport similar to treasure hunting involving navigating using a map and compass to find a target. Busan Geopark Geo-teering is an orienteering program conducted on the Morundae to Dadaepo Beach trail.
